The kinetic installation We Are What We Cease to Be is created from branches collected by the artist on the beach, as well as leaves, which were later cast in bronze. It invites us to pause and contemplate the beauty of the branches polished by erosion, to contemplate the subtle movement with which it breaks down the false separation between culture and nature, between the living and the non-living, in order to think about natures-cultures (Latour) where all the agencies that compose them have life.
