The fire started burning the bookcase in his own gallery owner’s office years ago, but as it spread, it spread in 2004 to the library of the MNCARS in Madrid, the National Library of Singapore in 2006, the National Gallery in Amman in 2010, and in 2016 to those of the Carrillo Gil Museum in Mexico City and NC Arte in Bogotá, Colombia.

Inspired by the idea of Marinetti’s Futurist Manifesto (“Let us burn the libraries (…) because the ashes will be the fertilizer for new seeds”), in this case the artist virtually burns the documentation library of the Colnaghi gallery in London.
