Feeling the Earth’s Movement Beneath the Skin
Sculpture
50 cm x 50 cm x 35 cm
The work is presented as a mural sculpture of a tree whose branches support a group of buildings. The piece was digitally produced using reality-based 3D scanning and modeling techniques and constructed via 3D printing.
The finish unifies both languages—natural and artificial—blurring the boundaries between living matter and technological construction.
Feeling the Earth’s Movement Beneath the Skin proposes a fusion between the biological and the architectural, between plant growth and human design. Ampudia envisions a hybrid habitat that challenges the opposition between nature and culture, suggesting a new model of coexistence yet to be resolved.
The sculpture encapsulates the idea of a refuge as a shared organism: a space where human life should integrate into the morphology of the natural world without imposing itself upon it.
