Kinetic Installation

One Hundred Thousand Light-Years is presented as a microcosm of the Milky Way, bringing the immensity of the galaxy to a human and tangible scale.

This kinetic installation is composed of a series of stones suspended from a structure. This mineral assembly, which appears to float in space, presents the barred spiral shape characteristic of the Milky Way.

The dynamic nature of the universe is represented through the installation’s rotating motion, produced by a small motor.
